Career Coaching; The WAMDA Way!!

Career Coaching; The WAMDA Way!!

WAMDA is the Arabic word for Flash of light, or Flash of enlightment. I developed a methodology of coaching, based on the WCI coaching model, that is specially tailored for the highly dependant cultures, such as the Middle east and Asia.
In these cultures, Individuals are directed on their careers based on grades, the financial needs of the family, or the ambitions of the parents that they want to see in their children. Rather than the individuality and having each individual build his career, with the support of the right support network, based on his own personal capabilities and skills
Realizing the difference between these 2 thought behaviors is 60% of the job. Once the individual understands that he should make his own decisions for his career. The job becomes much easier.
Here are 5 steps to help identify the 60% of the career planning process
  1. Relax in your favorite spot: Find the place that you feel comfortable in, and relaxed. Go there to clear your mind off, and get ready for a simulating session for your career Planning.
  2. Write the 5 main qualities& skills that help describe you: You need to know yourself better, you need know what you think you are good at. Identifying your qualities helps know what your capabilities are, and identify what you need to grow.
  3. Imagine how your life would be in 20 years: Close your eyes and see how your perfect day in your life would look like then. Try these questions to help you out; How big is your Family? What are you wearing? How does your house look like? Where do you go for work? How does your office look like? What are you doing at work?
  4. Think backwards: What do you need to do to reach that ultimate perfect day in your life?
  5. Always check with your support network: Whether be it your family, friends, coach, talk to them, let them advise you, and encourage you to take the right steps for your successful care and life
The most important thing to remember, through all this is what the amazing John Lennon said
Life is what happens while making other Plans

So remember to plan your life, but not too much!! Enjoy life, and live life to the most, you only live once :)
